Russell Smith - Managing Director
Russell founded Parity Projects back in 2005 whilst carrying out an extensive eco renovation of his own home. Many of the services that Parity now offers are based on his experience of trying to choose and install energy reduction measures. He is passionate about low energy housing and sees it as a vehicle to improve lifestyles and energy bills as well as our collective environmental impact. Russell leads on project management and training. |
Chris Newman - Commercial Director
Chris has ten years of experience with large professional services and investment banking environments in the City. More recently he has undertaken a Masters degree covering Environmental Architect and focusing on the science of how buildings work. Both of these have left him well placed to ensure our products are fit for purpose and good value. He also leads on our Home Energy Masterplan delivery. Chris is currently "getting his hands dirty" on an eco renovation project on his own home, and you can follow his progress on his blog. |
David Shewan - Technical Director
David has been working in the domestic energy sector since 2002, and has particular experience of technical analysis and managing installation of energy saving measures. He joined Parity in 2008, and has been developing the Parity Masterplan model and software, as well as leading on Parity’s strategic housing stock assessment services. David is currently in the process trying to reduce his own home's carbon footprint by 80%, and you can see how he’s doing on his blog. |
Aneal Dhear - Building Monitoring and Performance Manager
Aneal is a Chartered Electrical & Electronic Engineer and a qualified electrician, with considerable experience in monitoring & control systems. He joined Parity in April 2011 to lead our Building Monitoring work, and is focussing on developing this rapidly growing part of the business. |
Alaine Duffy - Data Manager
Alaine’s main responsibilities are the development and delivery of Parity’s strategic housing stock assessment services. She completed a Masters in Environmental Management in 2009, and had previously worked for the Building Centre as well as for 7 years on NASA’s X-ray observatory satellite, Chandra, where she gained experience of data analysis and database management. |
Richard Griffiths - Business Development Manager
Richard is responsible for helping to growing Parity’s customer base and raising public and industry awareness of the second-to-none service offered by the company. He joined from the Department for Energy and Climate Change and brings with him a wealth of climate change policy knowledge, business engagement skills, and marketing and communications experience. Richard holds a bachelors degree in Economics and a Master's in Environmental Technology. |
Rhodri James - Energy Analyst
Rhodri joined us in early 2012 as an Energy Analyst having recently spent a year working as a teacher at Wellington College. Rhodri studied at Oxford University where he gained a first class degree in Geography. His sustainability credentials include carbon footprinting experience gained during time spent working for Planet Positive. Outside work, Rhodri is avid Welsh rugby fan and playeri, and enjoys cspending time "back home" on the spectacular Pembrokeshire coastline. . |
Cathy Hough - Associate Energy Analyst and Trainer
Cathy works with Parity Projects delivering training and offering the Masterplan service in and around her home city of Bath. She has 15 years experience as a sustainable energy consultant working with leading housing associations and government departments. She has authored a number of reports on low carbon, whole-house refurbishment, and in 2007 helped establish the Existing Homes Alliance. Cathy has a first class degree in Civil Engineering and Masters degrees in Renewable Energy from Loughborough University and Sustainable Development with Forum for the Future. |
