I eventually got round to applying for the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive for the solar thermal system on our demo house. We’d previously received £300 from the Renewable Heat Incentive Premium Payment which rightly reduces the amount we will received.

Having filled in all the information online, and having had a Green Deal Assessment too, the payments have been calculated as £44 a quarter based on getting 19.20p per kWh generated.  This should make our net energy bills including standing charges around minus £340 a year.

This will be paid for 7 years so before inflation is added to the rate it will be £1,232.
