Course PP01: Techniques for significantly reducing energy consumption in existing buildings

Course contents:
  • Climate change and energy consumption
  • Thermal properties of houses and electrical consumption
  • Energy saving protocol - reducing the need for energy
  • Alternative energy sources
  • Government and local policy on buildings
  • Typical measures required for most homes and their relative cost benefits
  • Additional information and resources relating to energy efficiency and savings

The course costs £120 (+VAT) per person and includes lunch and all refreshments throughout the day, course notes and supplementary student information. The optional BTEC-accredited certificate is £75 (+VAT).
